Broker Alert: Important Broker Update

On October 23, 2023, Piedmont announced it is withdrawing its Individual & Family health plan offerings for 2024. Some former Piedmont members were notified that they are being transferred to Sentara Health Plans (formerly Optima Health). Virginia’s Insurance Marketplace will reach out to members about auto-enrollment and next steps.

Sentara Health Plans is sending a welcome email and postcard to these members. Stay tuned for more updates as we transition this membership to Sentara Individual & Family Health Plans.
