24/7 Nurse Advice Line
Not sure where to go or what to do when illnesses or injuries occur after hours or when the physician’s office is closed? Sentara Health Plans members can call the 24/7 Nurse Advice Line and speak with a professional nurse who can assess your medical situation, advise you as to where to seek care, and if possible, suggest self–care options until you can see your primary care provider.

Employee Assistance Program: Free counseling included in your plan
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides free confidential and accessible support to Sentara Health Plans members and their household, even if they do not have health coverage with us. EAP offers counseling, childcare and financial services, mental health resources, and assistance with work-life balance challenges.
